For my final project of the semester I made a website showing off my latest and greatest projects. I used Adobe Dreamweaver to create the entire website on ONW's e-Comm server. I changed some of the CSS code to allow me to put the background on the site. By adding some custom text fonts and extra colors it allowed me to customize my website to my fitting.

For creating the butterfly I used magic wand tool in order to fill in the different colors. After that, I used the clone stamp tool in order to select a certain part of the butterfly and create the fluttering effect on the wings of the butterfly.  In order to create the ONW compass logo I used the text box tool in order the write out the ONW. I then adjusted the opacity of it and brought the text over to the background image. I did the same steps for the compass picture.  This one was a lot simpler to create. All you had to do for this one was to select the text mask tool. You then had to type NORTHWEST into the box. You then adjusted the opacity, and the gradients and now you're done.   For this photoshop I chose the background picture of the school. I used the clone stamp tool in order to cover up the cars and the light poles. I then just added some pictures from around the school into the background. Adjusted their opacity, curved the edges and...

For my personal logo I got inspiration from the Beats logo. I wanted to do something         simple but more abstract. I couldn't decide what color I wanted so I set three of the same logo to         three different colors. I started of with a blue circle and added Arial Rounded MT Bold font to a         regular "j" to make it look like the Beats logo.

This is my color wheel. It has all the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors on it. I used the exclude tool to take out the middle colors in order to get the open but still full look.

Graphic Design

Graphic Design, to me, means expressing feelings of the human mind and body through simple or complex art. When you see something you should get a feeling of comfort and security. You should feel as if you understand that thing you are looking at. It should also be interesting but simple enough for the common people to understand but be entertained by. Graphic Design is all around us, it is a part of life.

They loved your GPA, then they saw your tweets

This article's purpose was to bring to light what you shouldn't say on social media. When kids post things on the internet they don't think twice who will see it and so they aren't careful what they say. The author is saying that college's may look at what you post on social media and what you say on it can affect whether the college wants you in their school or not. Some of the things in the blog that surprised me were that colleges keep track of what you say online and that even if what is on your account may not be true they still take it as truth, therefore possibly skewing the selection process. I was questioning the fact that even if they find some things that concern them they don't contact you to ask why, but instead just decline you acceptance into their school. This makes me think twice about what you post on the internet for everyone to see.

This is the first shot taken. This is the extra wide shot. It is used to describe the setting in which the subject is in.  This was the second shot taken. It is a wide shot, used to show more of the subject and less of the setting.  This is the medium shot. It is used to show the waist up of the subject. This is a close up of the hands shot. It shows the hands. This is an over the shoulder shot.
